Double-chamber balance vessel belongs to differential pressure type liquid level meter. The balance vessel measures the liquid level by converting the height change of liquid level into relative pressure difference change. When measuring the liquid level of open or low-pressure vessel, double-chamber balance vessel is often used. When measuring the water level of boiler drum, double-layer balance vessel is often used in combination with water level indicator or differential pressure transmitter. It can monitor the water level of drum during the start-up and shutdown and normal operation of boiler, and output the differential pressure signal relative to the water level change to ensure the safe operation of the boiler. The balance container is composed of positive pressure compensation pipe, negative pressure pipe, water cup, filter head, etc., and its connection mode is set.

The double-chamber balance vessel is equipped with a water level indicator or differential pressure transmitter, which can monitor the drum water level under the boiler start-up and shutdown and normal operation conditions, and output the differential pressure when the water level changes. Therefore, the pressure difference generated by the two-chamber balance container is constant, and the water level indicated by the low-end water level gauge is unchanged. In addition, since the temperature of the water in the positive and negative pressure pipes drawn from the double-chamber balance container is equal, although it is affected by the change of drum pressure and room temperature, their changes are equal, so it has no effect on the pressure difference generated by the double-chamber balance container.
What are the precautions for the installation of the double-chamber balance container? Let's take a brief look at it.
1. The distance between the steam pipe and the center of the drum should be the same as the center of the balance container.
2. The pressure level of the balance vessel and the boiler drum shall be the same.
3. The size of the connecting flange between the balance container and the drum or the size of the welding interface pipe shall be corresponding.
4. Note: Before setting up this balance vessel, purge the boiler pipe with air to prevent impurities from entering the balance vessel and causing serious accidents.
5. The steam-water interface of the balance container is welded to the outside of the steam drum isolation valve to ensure its vertical setting. Because the balance container is relatively heavy, the bottom should be supported by channel steel, and the supporting surface should be smooth to prevent the equipment from being damaged due to displacement caused by thermal expansion.
6. The drain pipe of the balance container shall be separately led to the downcomer pipe with faster water circulation in the drum (a shut-off valve shall be set near the drain pipe), and its vertical length shall be greater than 10 m to ensure that there is no water in the balance container without shutdown. In the case of emptying, lower the opening of the stop valve, this pipe is not insulated.
7. The positive and negative pressure pipeline of the balance container shall be laid after being led out for 1 m in the horizontal direction to ensure that the water temperature in the pipeline is equal to the ambient temperature.
8. After the installation is completed, all steam and water sampling pipes, sampling valves, connecting pipes and cylinders shall be insulated, and the top of the cylinder shall not be insulated.
9. The two pressure guide pipes from the balance container to the differential pressure transmitter shall be laid in parallel, insulated together, and heated according to the needs of the site to prevent freezing. When heating the steam tracing pipe, it shall be isolated from the pressure guiding pipe. Prevent water evaporation in the pressure guide tube from affecting the measurement effect.
